Review: Work on Wheels with the FlexiSpot Desk Bike

There’s nothing worse than getting off after a long day at the office and realizing you haven’t done anything physical. You feel sluggish but too tired to go to a separate workout. Maybe it’s time to switch up your work routine and get moving and grooving during work hours from your very own desk bike. Yes, that’s right! It’s a bike… it’s a desk!

FlexiSpot Bike Desk

A few weeks ago, I was asked to try out the FlexiSpot V9 Desk Bike. To be honest, I was skeptical before I used it, but ended up pleasantly surprised on all accounts. This stationary bike and workspace combo will help you change up your posture and burn some extra calories during the day. If you spend many hours working from home, you’ll agree that moving around is crucial. This goes for you, too, crafters! You can use this bike to get your blood flowing (not to mention those creative juices) and help you access that untapped energy throughout the day.

FlexiSpot Desk Bike Review

First of all, and probably most important is the comfort level. This desk bike‘s comfort shocked me! I was afraid it was going to be a disaster for working, however, it’s totally adjustable so you can set both the seat and desk to the perfect height! The bike seat is nice and cushioned as well, so you’ll be able to stay at your desk for however long you need. There is a convenient cup holder to hold your daily caffeine intake (or water if that’s more your speed), and there’s even an armrest for you to rest your arms while you type. Voila!

I won’t lie. The thought of assembly intimidated me and I was scared to open the box. But, I’m telling you, it could not have been easier to put together this desk bike. All you have to do is extend out the legs and add the seat, wheels, and desktop, which all just click into place, and you’re ready to get moving. Not only was it easy to put together this stationary bike, but the base is also on wheels, making it so light and easy to move around the office. It has been so convenient and easy to tuck into the corner when I want some more floor space.

I will never confuse this bike for a Peloton, as I don’t necessarily sit here to work up a sweat. I’ve found that level 2 is perfect for low-grade movement while doing other things. It looks perfectly at home in my office and helps me to avoid that post-lunch productivity slump. Getting that extra bit of movement during the day closes those rings on my Apple Watch with ease! I never really hopped on the standing desk bandwagon; however, I’ve really enjoyed changing up my work-from-home routine with my bike desk. Not going to lie, it’s perfect to spin a bit while you watch some Netflix, too!

What is your favorite work spot for typing or crafting from home? Check out the FlexiSpot V9 Desk Bike for a nontraditional desk that really grows on you!
