April Basket Kit
Learn the most basic weaving technique, a simple over and under, on a multi-stranded warp structure to create this lovely basket. Natural short fiber flax adds a rustic and yet firm form to this square basket. Complete the look with a beautiful arched finishing and lovely rope handle. Use as an Easter Basket or put your favorite spring plant and give to a friend to spread some cheer!
The pattern comes with two finishes, simple and braided to add to your weaving toolbox. Basket measures 5" x 5" x 4.5" high.
Kit comes with:
: 1 spool Flax & Twine 3mm Flax Cord
: 1 basket mold (reusable plastic storage container)
: 1 roll washi tape
: 1 darning needle
: 30" piece of braided rope for handle

Really enjoyed creating this April basket! The instructions were easy to follow and I completed it in about 3 hours. I did struggle with the last step of using the darning needle to weave the extra end pieces. I was about to give up but decided to try using a large safety pin. That worked like a charm for me! I will try to add a picture of my modification. I didn’t add the handle as I’m thinking of using some braided leather that I have. Thank you so much for creating a kit for this basket!
